Communication Skills through Literature

Hi everybody, do you teach literature? How effectively can we develop learners' communication skills through literature? I would like the members to discuss the topic.
If you have tried it in your class, please explain the process of introducing a piece of literature in the class and developing learners' communication and soft skills.
