Since returning to Australia in 1998, I have worked at English Language Services delivering the national Adult Migrant English Program to newly arrived adult refugees and migrants. Therefore I teach English to people from a broad range of countries with mixed backgrounds and visa types. I am currently writing my PhD thesis on using settlement topics such as housing, health, work, history and geography to deliver our English program. Therefore my strong interests are settlement, socialisation, and developing communities of practice.
Profile: My career began in Singapore where I taught English for Occupational Purposes for 7 years to Engineering and Business students.
